Canada Post Letter Carrier Depot

New letter carrier depots were designed to accommodate regional letter and parcel sortation along with services for letter carriers. This facility is LEED silver level certified and incorporates extensive building system controls which include HVAC, lighting and motorized operable loading doors and windows. The building design represents a balance between image, practicality and fiscal responsibility of Canada Post.

The massing of the building is a juxtaposition of the unique function organized in a rectilinear composition with the “heart” of the building – mechanical/electrical services – emphasized as a design feature.
